The youth exchange Sharing identities has been run by Per Esempio Onlus in partnership with the Egyptian association “Waseela for training and development”, the Spanish association “AJ Intercambia” and the Moroccan association “Forum Connecting Cultures”, funded by the Erasmus Plus programme (KA1 Mobility project for young people and youth workers).

The exchange took place in Palermo from the 20th to the 25th of October 2014, and its activities involved 24 young people aged between 18 and 30 years.

The main goal was to increase knowledge about the origins of belonging cultures and discovering similarities in each others’ culture with an inter-cultural training.

The exchange promoted the dialogue between young people with different cultural, ethnic and religious background, and spread essential social, cultural and civic values of the European Union, like equality, tolerance and respect. This mobility experience has allowed participants to acquire personal, interpersonal and inter-cultural knowledge and skills, essential for a better understanding of the modern life’s complexity.
