47.1

47.1 are the degrees measured on July 24, 2023 at 3:42 p.m. by the Palermo Astronomical Observatory’s weather station, which marked the highest temperature since 1791, the year the measurements began. The phenomenon of climate change is sweeping the globe and manifesting with concern among the countries and islands of the Mediterranean Sea, becoming a current emergency. The Cultural and Social Chain denounces the lack of adequate professionalism and economic inability to meet the costs of experts capable of accompanying in the processes of change.

This has made it possible to detect an initial macro-need, the mapping activity will then allow to conduct a careful analysis of the needs of organizations in the Palermo area, their critical issues and their current practices of environmental impact abatement.

During the course of the project, both virtuous practices and those yet to be corrected will be collected, ensuring the exchange of best practices among organizations. This will be possible during the hours of workshops and transition coaching, developed by experts who will take into account the needs analysis done. Different activities will be structured within the project that will allow the realization of: four workshops on the needs that emerged from an initial mapping of context analysis; thirty individualized paths for companies wishing to activate a green transition; awareness-raising events; and a dedicated platform.
