Ri-Generazioni

Ri-Generazioni is a project aimed at young people, foreigners and natives, between 14 and 35 years old, living in the districts of Palermo, Zen and Albergheria (Ballarò).

The aim of the project is to increase the opportunities for inclusive participation in the cultural, social and economic life of the reference territory through the strengthening of processes oriented towards change and involvement in moments of regeneration of spaces in the reference neighborhoods in a participatory way and by examining the needs of the residents.

After the explorations through walks and the mapping of their respective neighborhoods, the girls and boys of Zen and Albergheria neighborhoods choose the places to redevelop.

The project also includes an online platform, “Arricria”, which presents a collaborative map of the city of Palermo aimed at indicating, in a simple and intuitive way, spaces to be redeveloped through bottom-up projects, where every type of user will be able to express their preference, with a view to get the maximum involvement of the community as a whole. The most voted area will finally be the one destined to regeneration.
