One of the main sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda is gender equality and the reduction of inequalities. Despite the progress made in recent years, a significant gender gap still exists in European societies, evident in several aspects of daily life. According to the European Parliament report (2021) on female poverty in Europe, women are more affected by the risk of social exclusion compared to men. In 2020, the risk of social exclusion was higher for women (23%) than for men (20%); and since 2017, the gender poverty gap has increased in 21 Member States. The main objective of the project is the social inclusion and empowerment of women in vulnerable situations through the promotion of personal and sporting skills.
